Golden Gardens is coming up on us very quickly and we all want to be prepared. When crossing the border it is very important to have as many legal documents as possible for identification.
Be sure to bring your passport if you have one, birth certificate, SIN #, Drivers License (Of course) and if you have a provincial ID card that is good too.
If you guys can, I strongly recommend getting your passport. It will save you the grief later on in 2008 when it is mandatory to have it to enter the U.S. by land or sea. You will also beat the rush. If you get on it today, you should have it before Golden Gardens. Less hassles means more fun!
Please check out this website to familiarize yourself with the procedure of crossing the border into Washington State.

Land and Sea Travel
The implementation of these measures for all land and sea travel to the United States will come into effect as early as January 1, 2008, and no later than June 1, 2009. The exact date of implementation will depend on when the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security meet certain conditions set out by the United States Congress on technology, infrastructure, and training for border officers.
For more information, see the U.S. Department of State Web site, which includes a page entitled "Foreign citizen traveling to the U.S.".
The Government of Canada continues to recommend that Canadians carry a valid Canadian passport for all visits to the United States. Please note that Canadians are not required to have Machine Readable Passports to enter the U.S., even if the passport was issued abroad. Canada is not a participant in the U.S. Visa Waiver Program.
More information is available from the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) Web site.
