Golden Garden's Meet Protocol -
01-06-2008, 01:07 PM
The NWN Golden Garden's Meet has seen dramatic annual increases in participation by members and guests alike. The vast majority of participants realize that this is a municipal park open to the public and respectfully behave accordingly.
However, along with the increase in overall participation we've seen a growing segment of immature, annoying, and irresponsible behaviors that could threaten the event's continued growth and existence.
A list of prohibited acts of ignorance shouldn't be necessary; just realize that there will be families with children @ the park; many who like to checkout the rides, and some who don't appreciate our taking over of 'their' park.
Please, positively represent NWN, the car hobby, and yourself, by resisting the urges to make unnecessary noise and/or perform examples of unsafe and/or illegal activities.
Those folks that cannot control themselves will be asked to leave the event and will banned from future NWN shindigs.

We do not drift or burn-out, as it is potentially dangerous and ultimately stupid.
Those Bee-r rev-limiters are annoying as all hell, and should not be shown off over, and over, and over again.

Agreed to a point... I can resist the urge to set off my Bee-R. Of an admin asks to see it however, I may fire off a couple. Last years episode will not repeat... I know jrbump was ok with a couple of pops, as long as we don't over do it.
However the fire is bigger and louder this year!

No pop wars, please. That got really old, really fast.
Yeah, and no more "I'm goin to drift into my parking spot" stuff.
Lets have fun this year, and not get in trouble/kicked out/asked to never come back.
- Ian.

No issue with the no pop wars request.. I won that war long ago now. Maybe one or two bangs like that pictured above may take place during the whole event.
Our crew was not part of any of the other mentioned dangerous stupidity, and we won't be this year either.

Yeah, too many people racing up that windy hill on their way out of the park last year imo... Some of those people were pissed. I don't want to drive 5-6 hours for us to get asked not to come back. Had a blast last year!!!

Ofcourse, you just need to get there earlier lol. We'll have a few Sentra's and NismoMax will be there too. Last year the 240sx ratio was like 5 to 1 over all other Nissan body styles...

Everyone, nissan or not, is welcome. There is no exclusivity, just bring your car, show up, eat, and enjoy the cars and the company.
