Your car does not need floties to get to BMP. . . -
05-27-2008, 07:35 AM
You do not have to take the ferry.
The land route is down to Tacoma and take HWY 16 across the narrows bridge. The exit for BMP is off HWY 16 and it takes the same elapsed time to drive as it does to take the ferry.
Here is the directions to BPM from Seattle: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...1&ie=UTF8&z=10
64 miles - about 1.5 hours.
No excuses Tommy! I'll call you.
Oh - and the Narrows bridge now has a $2 toll on it coming back into Tacoma (Eastbound) only so bring some bills.

i doubt its too low, i thought it was going to be scrap tastic last time i went to bremerton- i never bottomed out at all. as long as you take it slow you should be fine. the on/off ramps aren't as steep as your memory is telling you

I bet Tommy is too low. Last time I took a ferry in my car I scraped and that was before I lowered it 2 more inches and added a lip.
I should be there taking photos, as long as it isn't pouring down rain.

Awesome event, the layout was long and a lot of switch backs which was nice, but i think the sweeper at the end was probably my favorite section. Good seeing all you guys out there.

Hands Down a well organized event, thanks to Russell (Umai Kamaidon) who took charge and layed it down, no standing around waiting and stuff. Thanks to the staff too. This was a great event, for those new to drifting or are on the intermediate level this event is for you. Nothing to hit and you get your moneys worth of seat time! I think it's good that there are no spectators, less worrying about picking up trash, and "watching people" for safety issues.

Excellent event everyone! Thanks to Russel and company for your hard work. I think the track was well matched to the group overall. I saw lot's of improvement from everyone (especially the white FC). Thanks for letting me drive your car Levon. I don't usually drive turbo cars and it was my first time drifting an S14 but it was really fun! Very good atmosphere and an all around great event. I can't wait to do it again ;-)

Thanks to everyone who came out and extra thanks to everyone who worked hard to make it all happen.
Here is the course map (there were a few minor changes but you get the idea)
If anyone feels like playing journalist and wants to write up an event report/review/story and email it to me I'll see if I can use it for the NWR website.
If you took pictures or video please post them up as soon as you are able!
Thanks everyone - you guys rock!

Huge is right. Runs were like 60 seconds IF you didn't spin and IF you were hauling and carrying big speed the whole way through!
I've got some on car footage that is getting edited and will be posted when I'm able!

It can't be said enough how big the course was, honestly, it was probably 3 times longer than evergreen (no offense evergreen, i love you too)
