My new RB -
04-07-2009, 07:59 PM
so a buddy of mine said he'd give me an rb20 with both manifolds and that's about it.
would need an oil pan harness ecu, coils, clutch. gear box. ect.
i've been thinking about building just the motor up.
and going NA
opinions? anyone ever done it?

rbs are pimp shit. turbo'd is gnarly. fast easy power.
if you have the time id go NA but i havent herd much about NA rbs making alot of power, altho im sure you could if u had the money, id still say do a decent turbo build

I haven't seen many NA 20's there are a few 25's and the rb30 is the way to go for NA.
Maybe buying another rb20 and that way you can have 2 blocks... One installed and one to repair and keep as back up, you might find the parts you need will come to a great price, unless you find someone throwing stuff away.

yeah personally if my 20 wasnt dirt dirt cheap wouldnt have done it. if u like the rb motors get a 25 or 26, or look into an ls1 for a good na build.
