Unanswered: How to weld up a differential??? - 05-09-2009, 12:18 PM

I'm thinking about welding up my diff! I want to do it myself just need to know how, and if I mess it up no worries i'll just buy a 2-way from there. Plus I don't need to drive, have other vehicles just want to cross this off my want to do list... Thanks for your help.

yeah welding the ring gear to the pinion equals instant major f@#kin failure on a major scale. anyways just weld the spider gears together there's two openings in the housing that you can access through to put some serious welds down. make sure to POUR on brake cleaner first to get all the oil off or the welds will not stick and won't work to well.

No Regrets thats my motto.... that and everybody Wang Chung tonight!
