Can this be done? - 06-29-2009, 05:48 AM

Okay so i was reading some back issues of Projector Car. And i saw that the sr20DV comes with the VVL, i understand that this is Nissan version of the VTECH so can this be done to a SR20DET motor? If so how can it be done, just by swapping out heads and stuff or what does it entail.

s14/s15 sr came with it i believe. but i'm not sure that you can just switch out the head to make it work on s13 sr. the mounting of the intake manifolds are different for 1, and i'm sure there may be other factors that would make it hard.

s14 and s15 motors have VTC, not VVL.

VVL head swap is from an fwd sr20ve. I don't think it's a 'bolt-on' but mazworx sells the adapter for the back of the head.
