While I have not met Ron, My condolences go out to his family. The worst thing that can happen, is losing a family member

Wow.... I'm quite stunned to hear of your dad's passing Chris. I too was one of the original gang that had become good friends with Ron and family and definately had good memories for the short time I was able to spend with Ron.

Ron being our most senior member of NWN, was always able share a wealth of knowledge and more importantly "life-lessons" in dealing with every day problems that a lot of club members faced and posted up on this forum. Being our "dad", naturally he was able to share his experiences and knowledge in dealing with issues that to many of the new club members - major and serious. With maturity and age comes wisdom (as they say) and Ron was more than able to instill not only his opinions on any issue, but more his experiences - which in the overall picture meant more to everyone.

Ron had a huge passion for life, family and his cars, and his passing will be sadly missed by many. A true teacher of life, Ron was always willing to assist those that reached out for assistance and he did it without any hesitance. Ron would regularly send "care-packages" to many club members who ran into problems, or simply had a birthday or a need. I would think that your mother too Chris is just as generous. (I received a care package of stuffed animals for my 1st son when he was born 8 years ago from your mom and dad)

I'm saddened to hear of your family's loss Chris, and my hopes and prayers go out to the Tucker family.

I haven't been around long. Or know much about your father.
But from reading all these posts from the people who did know him, he seemed like a truly genuine man. I'm sorry for your loss.
    Rest in peace.

I haven't shed tears for a long time but I must say this really upset me. I'm really, really choked.

I could write pages of examples of what a great guy he was. Chris, be very proud.

I'm in such shock right now. I knew his health was not great for a while, but still figured I'd get the chance to visit again. I feel so bad for not taking him up on the offer to go buy some of those tools back a while ago. From what he was saying, the medical bills were really taking a toll on him.

Truly one of that generations last good guys. A guy that should have had more re-reimbursement from the government in his golden years thats for sure.

    Take care Ron.

From helping all of the noobs with their countless bombardment of questions to giving tools to those that needed them.

Ron was a great man indeed. He will truly be missed. :(
