First I would like to start off by saying before I started this build I knew nothing about body work or the mechanics of cars. The most difficult thing I ever did prior was a oil change. Everything I know now came from the hours of googling and youtubing. So if I say something that make no sense, thats why. My main goal of this build is just to learn. Second, is to have a fast car that I built with my own two hands.
Well lets get started. I bought the car in January for 2500.
When I bought the car it was originally black, drive-able, no rust, and few body dents. Not too bad. sorry no pics.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::
In February, I primer-ed the car and attempted to pull the dents. I got a few out but, after days of beating, bondo-ing, and sanding I said F*** IT and took it to macco. They were suppose to only fix the dents. When I came to pick it up, they were about to push it into the paint booth. I was planning on painting it myself.
I acted like I was pissed off that they sanded and prep-ed it, all the hard work I was about to do but on the inside I wish I would have showed up a few hours later lol. Damn, I almost had a free paint job. The manager apologized for the mix up and offered me any paint job for 50% off.
I knew any paint job I got would be crap so I picked their middle road option.
I picked a BMW color, Alpine White III. It turned out ok, besides 2 runs and the crazy amount of over-spray on the core support and in the engine bay.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::
In March, I did alot of research on what I would do for engine performance. At first I wanted to go with a RB26 or a 2jz. Then I read how difficult it was to do those swaps so I decided to do a s14 sr20 swap.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::
In May I ordered everything I thought I needed to do the swap. Here is what I bought:
ISIS Aluminum Radiator
ISIS Fan Shroud Kit
ISIS Silicone Radiator Hose Kit
ISIS Stainless Steel Test Pipe
ISIS Stainless Steel Downpipe
ISIS 3" Dual Tip Exhaust
ISIS Front Mount Intercooler Core
ISIS Front Mount Intercooler - Piping Kit
Circuit Sports Solid Motor Mount
Circuit Sports Solid Transmission Mount
WALBRO 255LPH FUEL PUMP
Z32 MASS MAF AIR FLOW SENSOR
MAF Air Intake + K&N Filter
OEM OIL PAN (original one was dented)
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::
In June I started the motor swap. Before I did the motor I installed my exhaust because I wanted to hear what the KA sounded like with a straight pipe. 2 words, Extremely loud. Click to listen. This clip does not do it justice.

I want that dual tip. Isis is not that bad, at least its not godspeed. And the parts purchased shouldn't have any problems..

I appreciate the encouragement from everyone. But I just got some good news and sort of bad news.
Good news- I just got orders(moving) to Germany. Bad News - I will have to sell my baby
. I will be posting it for sale on sunday after I lower it.
Update!
Its been running reliably since August. No issues since I finished. I had to change the motor mounts to Nismo and I traded my straight pipe for a used Apexi GT spec because it was too loud. Besides lowering it on Tanabe springs and Tokico Blues that's about it. I will post pics of the car after I lower it on Sunday.
Any ideas on what I should set the asking price to? It has a clean title and all the goodies I have mentioned.

judging by half the stuff on here and craigs, that car without the swap would go between 5 and 6. theres a couple swapped with suspension and wheels in the 10 area. so 8? sad to say but that seems like what they are going for. especially clean title. but listen to what some other people say. glws
