ok so i bought a 91 240sx coupe for 3200 with 130k 5 speed. with a ka24de. so it didnt start out to well, first off 5 minutes after i bought it the rear view mirror fell off, and broke on the shift knob, then 10mins later the worst timing chain rattle ive ever heard occurred and i had to let it chill in a parking lot for 25mins. then after that i drive an hour and a half home and didnt have a single problem. so my idea for the car was a nice daily driver and also possibly show car worthy finish. im doing a black with a very dark blue flake and using all dupont paint with 7900s clear. so heres my build so far

then 2 weeks after i painted it i got rear ended by a mid 90's chevy suburban and it almost got totaled out. luckily my insurance agent who came and wrote the estimate loved the car because he had test drove one brand new in 91 and didnt want to see it with a rebuilt title.. and neither did i. i mean 20 years and it still had all the original paint from 91 with no body filler or anything and i had just painted it

so its been a long hard fought journey to even be driving my car. but the progress is something to grateful for (and lucky it didnt get totaled)
first day i got it

first time i painted it

then after about 6-8 months of work or however long it took 2 weeks of driving and i get ----ed!!

then off to the shop where the rear end was pulled welded and new holes in the dry wall from frustration

then 2 months later of pulling sanding, body work, and paint

it lives!!!!
and now its time to stop being a cheap ass like the first time and head down to tacoma screw and stainless steel every nut and bolt the eye can see
